• Does it really take 4-6 weeks?

 Everything at Sun Nation is individually made-to-order – this means we take time to ensure that each and every Sun Nation product is made with love and care.

 If you need your order sooner, please contact lizzy@sunnationshop about expedited orders and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

• What if something breaks and I need it fixed?

We take a lot of care in making all of the products at Sun Nation. From carefully choosing each hide of leather, to every stitch sewn, and rivet pressed, we take the time to make sure our products have a long life ahead of them.

If you think your product is damaged due to an inherent flaw in the material or poor craftsmanship, please get in touch with us - see our return and repair page for details.

• Can I have something custom stamped or tooled?

We are happy to monogram any of our items. We charge a flat $25 for initials. Email us @ service@sunnationshop.com with details.

• Who takes your photos?

We create a lot of our pictures in house and the rest are shot by our amazing photographer, Erik Ursin – check out his work at www.erikursin.com

• What kind of leather do you use?

All of our leather is 100% vegetable-tanned and comes from USA tanneries. No heavy metals or toxic chemicals are used to make our leather and we use only non-toxic, water-based glues and dyes.

Leather is a truly unique material to work with. The life it had before as a living creature is imbued in it’s suppleness and resiliency. No other material is as simultaneously soft and strong, sturdy yet graceful. We constantly look for ways to highlight the amazing, natural qualities of this material. Please keep in mind that leather is a very natural material, and that some surface “flaws” are completely normal, and reflect the beauty of the animal the leather came from.

• What is “Natural” leather?

Natural leather is a vegetable tanned leather that is processed using only the tannic acids found in tree bark and other vegetable matter and is not treated with any dyes or colorants.

Natural veg-tan leather is a highly durable leather that develops a gorgeous tan patina over time. If you are lucky enough to have a brand new natural leather item, you will have the joyful experience of watching it transform from a pale beige to a deep golden tan that will be shined and burnished simply by you using it.

• Where is Sun Nation?

Sun Nation has a small workshop in San Antonio, TX. All of our products - leather stuff and whatever other fun side projects we craft up - are carefully made here in the USA, and we are as conscientious as possible about sourcing USA materials and tools.

• What’s up with Bangles?

- How do I know what size to pick?

Bangles are trickier than wristbands because they have to slide over your entire hand to get to your wrist. We wish so much that there was a magical, fool-proof sizing chart. But in the end, you know your hands best.

We offer both S/M and L/XL sizes to help make sure you get the best bangle for your hands!

After years of bangle making we've found that S/M is a good bet for most people :)
